Career opportunities exist for graduates of this course in tour and travel companies, national parks, museums, cultural centers, hotel and lodges where they may be employed as tour officers, tour guides, reservationists, naturalist, tour leaders, on site guides and eventually as tour managers and reservation managers, all over the world.

You have probably promised yourself that one day you will become a Tour Manager, Tour Marketer, Tour Operator, Travel Agent, Professional Tour guide, Lodge/Camp/Conservancy Naturalist, National park customer care Staff, Theme park attendant, Driver guide, Tourism business entrepreneur and many other opportunities that tourism has to offer.
The Tourism department aims to provide trainees with the requisite knowledge and skills founded on firm academic leadership, moral integrity, and professional ethics. Our vision is to exert a positive transformational change in tourism training, industry practice and standards in order to achieve world class excellence in service delivery while at the same time instilling an entrepreneurial spirit.
Through our diversification strategy, we now offer a wide range of Tourism courses which includes: Tourism Management, Tourism and Business studies, Tour Guiding management, Tour Guiding and Administration and Sustainable Tourism. Our strength as a department lies on our keen emphasis and commitment in practical sessions which are conducted on weekly basis including mandatory academic tours to major touristic circuits in Kenya.
After completing their course, our graduates are ready to work in various tourism establishments such as Tour operating firms, Travel Agencies, National/Game Parks and Conservancies, Airlines, Theme and Amusement parks, Museums, Lodges and Camps as naturalists, Cultural Centres or start their own Travel/ Tourism based enterprises- where many have excelled.
